15k runners will start with THE 30K RUNNERS and run out cheeseboro canyon trail TO SHEPHERD'S FLAT. RIGHT ON SHEEP CORRAL AND UP TO THE RIDGE. RUNNERS WILL HEAD BACK DOWN TO CHEESEBORO CANYON TRAIL VIA THE RIDGE CONNECTOR TRAIL. One last climb up palo comado to the rolling hills of modelo ridge trail before RETURNING TO THE FINISH with a fast descent.

The Race Course will be open for 9 Hours.
Sunrise is at 6:35 am and Sunset is at 4:47 pm on November 23. So you may want to start your race with a headlamp.

the 50k race course will run out cheeseboro canyon trail to shepherd's flat. turn left heading up to china flat via sheep corral & palo comado trails. after completing the china flat~simi peak loop, all runners will descend albertson motorway to the aid station. for one independent loop on the lang ranch open space trails ~ meadow vista trail, hidden canyon trail and lang ranch ridge trail. AID WILL BE AT THE BOTTOM OF ALBERTSON MOTORWAY along with your drop bag if you packed one. once you have completed your loop, you will climb back up albertson motorway to china flat and back down palo comado, across sheep corral to dead cow and back on palo comado. up and over modelo to aid, then across cheeseboro ridge ( because we know how much you love it). then back on sheep corral to cheeseboro canyon in reverse where you'll hit the aid station once again before climbing back up modelo and across modelo ridge for an AWESOME DOWNHILL FAST FINISH!!!
***IMPORTANT*** ALL 50K RUNNERS MUST BE TO THE AID STATION AT MILE 24 BY 1:30 PM ( that's 7 hours from the race start ) IN ORDER TO CONTINUE ON COURSE FOR THE LAST 8 MILES. IF YOU ARRIVE AFTER 1 PM YOU WILL BE SENT BACK TO THE START with a DNF...and WE DON'T WANT TO DO THAT. SO PLEASE PLAN YOUR RACE ACCORDINGLY. KNOW WHERE THE AID STATIONS ARE, FOLLOW THE WEATHER FORECAST AND COME PREPARED.
30K RUNNERS WILL BE STARTING THEIR RACE WITH THE 15K RUNNERS AND FOLLOW THE FIRST 9.7 MILES WITH THEM. 30K RUNNERS WILL RETURN TO THE START AREA AFTER 9.7 MILES TO REFUEL, REHYDRATE AND HEAD BACK OUT FOR THEIR REMAINING 9 MILES. HEADING OUT, YOU'LL CLIMB UP MODELO TRAIL TO PALO COMADO. UP PALO COMADO TO SMOKETREE & DOUBLETREE TRAILS. PALO COMADO AGAIN and THEN TURN AROUND AT DEAD COW. HEADing BACK TO THE START/FINISH AREA via modelo FOR A DOWNHILL FINISH.
